MJ Caselden

MJ Caselden is an artist, electronic musician, and creative technologist who has been hacking toys and synthesizers and designing him own circuits and software to generate sounds in new interesting ways, getting deeply involved in the New York Maker scene. Professionally, he draws on his deep technical background to help artists bring their ideas into fruition. His career background includes a residency for voice recognition research in Tsinghua University’s Electronics Engineering lab, a brief stint developed DSP at Beats by Dre, and a starting engineer at littleBits Electronics leading firmware and embedded systems design. MJ has a BM in Electronic Production and Design from Berklee College of Music for a B. M. and a B. S. in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in DSP from USC.
