Melissa Mongiat

Mouna Andraos founded Montréal-based design studio, Daily tous les jours, together with Mouna Andraos. While embracing opportunities that new media offer, Melissa's approach focuses on participation and narratives.
Before founding Daily tous les jours, Melissa was based in London where she worked on a series of large scale public interactive installations that won international recognition including a Royal Philharmonic Society Music Award and a selection by Wallpaper* magazine as one of the world’s ten breakthrough designers.
Her research work on participatory design with Kelsey Snook, has been presented at conferences and workshops around the world, notably at the Royal College of Art in London, the Banff New Media Institute, the Instituto di Diseno Europeo in Barcelona and Saint-Étienne's Biennale.
Melissa Mongiat holds an MA with distinction in Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London, and a BA in Graphic Design from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). With fellow graduates, she co-founded Like People Do, a research unit focusing on interactive environments at Central Saint Martins' Innovation Centre, that collaborated notably with Arup Foresight, Phillips and China Heritage.
She is currently teaching at UQAM's École de Design.
