Ken Johnson is a graphic artist and the creator of Ball and Cone, a comic on Tumblr that is a philosophical playground about universal relationships and situations. He is also the author of the book Are You Experienced, the story of how psychedelic consciousness transformed modern art. Ken works as an art critic at The New York Times. In his journalism career he has written on contemporary art for several art magazines, newspapers and publications, and was briefly the art critic for the Boston Globe. Johnson is also an educator, having taught courses in painting, drawing, electronic arts, art history, and art criticism at various universities in upstate New York. He teaches a writing seminar in the School of Visual Arts in art criticism and writing in New York. Ken has an art degree from Brown and a master's in studio art with a concentration in painting from SUNY Albany.
